Today is International Organic Day, a day for us to celebrate organic farming and living. Our Organic Cotton Farmer Training Programme empowers farmers to transition from conventional to organic practices. Our training programme covers everything from cultivation to certification, ensuring sustainable practices that benefit both farmers and the environment. In 2022-23, we witnessed significant progress in our organic cotton programmes - - 100% of farmers adopted organic pest and soil management. - 97% farmers adopted intercropping, improving soil health and biodiversity. - 98% of farmers adopted water-saving techniques, reducing wastage, and conserving resources. These practices not only enhance soil health and biodiversity but also reduce water wastage and increase overall farm productivity. #Organic #OrganicFarming #InternationalOrganicDay #SustainableAgriculture #CottonConnect #SustainableCotton #OrganicDay2024 #SustainablePractices

Verified, sustainable supply chain practices, coupled with robust traceability, are now crucial for meeting corporate sustainability due diligence requirements - but the tools needed to support this already exist. At CottonConnect, we've conducted an in-depth review of the latest legislations affecting cotton and textiles production, to identify the requirements companies will need to meet. Some of these requirements are already in force, with clear deadlines for compliance.
