What a great night of football 🔥🏆 As we reach the half way point of the season, things are really heating up in the Fintech Football Champs! Creditspring and Monzo Bank are the two favourites for the Division 1 and 2 titles, but we've seen before that anything can happen in this league. Here's a round up of what went down in week 6: Division 🥇 🎯Creditspring 9 vs 6 Funding Circle UK Matthew Hardy's team make it 4 from 4 to stay top of the table. Back to Back defeats for Adam Berry and his side after a very promising start to the season 🎯Wise 3 vs 2 Revolut Wise are the second best positioned team in terms of points dropped, with just one defeat so far this season. This was a crucial win against a strong Revolut team. Great to see FFC legend Areg Nzsdejan back on the scoresheet this week. 🎯Onfido 4 vs 3 Capital on Tap From relegation candidates to title contenders, Kam Dadfar deserves a lot of credit for the Onfido turnaround this season. A MOTM performance from Vahid Asli and a hattrick from Burak Eregar lifted Onfido to 3rd in the table, level on points with the leaders Creditspring 🎯Verto 6 vs 3 Worldpay Emmanuel C. Uzoeghelu' Verto team are also level at the top after a big win against Dan H.'s side. How far can they go this season? Division 🥈 🎯Financial House 8 vs 3 PensionBee Financial House continue their impressive start to their debut season with a win which lifts them up to 2nd in the league. 🎯PayPal 8 vs 3 TrueLayer Both sides have been very inconsistent this season, but William Lord's TrueLayer side were starting to build some momentum....that's been completely squashed by Denis Velic and co. who will still have faint hopes of a promotion charge, given how open the league is 🎯 ClearBank 14 vs 6 ONMO Alper Aytac led by example for Onmo with 4 goals for the team, but it wasn't enough, as a free flowing ClearBank took a big win, with Harjit Lyall, CertBALM® scoring 4 goals of his own. Jude scored a hattrick in the final last week and brought home the trophy 🏆⚽ The London Cup took place last Friday and, in what seemed like the perfect omen ahead of the Euros final, Jude Molloy scored a hattrick in the final to win the football tournament. Unfortunately Bellingham couldn't follow suit! It was one of our best tournaments to date and huge congratulations to Jude, Ben Hart and the rest of the Fiscal FX team on a very well deserved victory! 🥇 The standard across the football tournament was incredibly high, with previous winners Wowcher in the mix, along with strong performances from the HelloFresh, Veeva Systems and Paysafe teams. A shout out to Multiverse who finished as runners-up. Well done to captain Cassius Lewis and unofficial golden glove winner Euan Blair 🖐️ Jamie Lavers and Freddy Campbell shared the Player of the Tournament Award 🏃 🍽️ In the plate Tom Weber-Macartney's TT International side took the spoils after an incredible final against Adylic. Last week I took on the role of Team Manager and Professional Photographer (& cheerleader?) as we entered a team into the Corporate 5s Cup! ⚽ Off we went to Shepherd's Bush, where team HelloFresh made it through the group stage with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw. They then smashed the quarterfinals, but unfortunately were knocked out in the semi's. Overall, it was a brilliant day, bringing colleagues and companies together, and raising some money for charity! There are some new teams making waves in the Fintech Football Champs this season ⚽🏆 One of these teams is Financial House, under the guidance of Director of Football Alisher Abdukadyrov. Their star man Umut Cengiz is quickly becoming the Kvaratskhelia of the FFC, with his fast feet and all action style. In Week 3, they came but against the Allica Bank 'Allicators', led by inspirational captain Ognjen Belic, who has his eyes firmly on promotion this season. Especially after picking up Henok Aklilu from Kriya in the transfer window this summer. What followed was a FFC classic, which only enhanced the budding reputation of Umut Cengiz and will leave Financial House feeling that they can have a serious tilt at promotion this season! A defeat for Allica leaves them with 3 points from 3 games, is it time to give Conrad Ford a recall?

The Sports & Media Cup 2024 🏆🎉 This is the first event that we ever ran, it started back in 2018 as a bit of a passion project...we never expected it to grow into the Corporate 5s Cup and a full time business! So of all the tournaments that we run, this one always feels a bit special! With 3 former champions competing (Manchester United, Pentland Brands and Minute Media) along with previous finalists Leaders in Sport, we were expecting the standard to be high and the action on the pitch and court didn't disappoint. Congratulations to the all of the winners 🏆 Football ⚽ 🥇Simmer took home the crown and what a performance! This could be the best corporate football team we've ever seen 🥈 JAA Media finished as runner's up, a great performance, which included a victory against Manchester United in the semi-finals 🍽️ In the Plate, Premier League Productions took the spoils after a penalty shoot out victory against Genius Sports in the Final Netball 🏀 🥇Eleri Guy led her SPORTFIVE side to a well deserved victory 🥈JAA Media finished as runners up in the netball, to make it a second place double 👑 Huge congratulations to Aidan Doran and Lilla Campbell who were crowned as player of the tournament in the football and netball respectively! This looks set to be our most open tournament yet: 🎯For the first time ever, we'll have 3 former champions returning and with their 👀 on the football trophy, Manchester United, Pentland Brands and Minute Media 🎯Simmy Dhillon and his Simmer FC team will also be getting involved, fresh off the back of winning their own tournament...so confidence will be high and we know they'll be well fuelled 🎯We've got more The Premier League representation, with Brentford Football Club also making their debut in the competition 🎯We've done a couple of deadline day deals and brought in Genius Sports & William Hill at the last minute 🏀 In the netball, the reigning champs aren't returning this year, so there'll be a new champ - with the likes of SPORTFIVE, JAA Media, BUZZ 16 and Engage Digital Partners all gunning for their first title! One more team needed! ⚽🏀🏆 The Brand & Agency Cup takes place this Friday at Shepherd's Bush in London and Havas Play UK are the latest team to join the tournament. Captain Jesse White has puled together a crack team and they'll be looking to go all the way in the football tournament, on their debut performance. However, we still have one final spot to fill in the football tournament and one final spot to fill in the netball tournament, so if you fancy an afternoon of sports, networking and team building this Friday, please get in touch!
