Has Premium Pricing Become an Excuse for Poor Quality? 💸 Last Saturday, thanks to Daniel Snape from Convenzis Group (a brilliant Play It Green | B Corp™ customer), I had an epic day out at Co-op Live with my son, Joe, who’s back from uni. We kicked off with the Manchester City Football Club game, then walked over to Co-Op Live to watch the boxing—a true sports lover’s dream.⚽🥊 It was a complete surprise for Joe and the look on his face when he found out was priceless (thanks, Dan - I owe you big style). The arena’s setup, staff and location were fantastic, but the food? That’s where things took a hard hit (a bit like some of the boxers' chins). 👉 Ticket prices are already sky-high, and you expect quality in return. Instead, we found ourselves paying £40 for a basic chicken burger with a handful of chips, plus £8 for a small can of beer £56 in all for the two of us. For an experience meant to deliver premium hospitality, the food was underwhelming at best, especially given the price tag. When fans pay hundreds for tickets, they deserve an experience that doesn’t just rely on the venue's reputation to justify inflated prices. Good food, fair prices, and quality service should be a given, not a luxury. What do you think? Have you had similar experiences at big venues?
