Innovative Waterproofing with Integritank! We're excited to share an innovative solution from Mace's recent project where they utilised the Integritank cold applied waterproofing system for below-ground protection. Why Integritank? ✅ Structural Protection: This system is a robust waterproofing membrane that safeguards concrete structures. ✅ Even Application: Applied using a multiple pass spray method ensuring an even coating without slumping. ✅ Enhanced Safety: Cold applied systems significantly reduce health and safety risks compared to hot applied methods. This minimises the risk of bitumen burns and avoids hot works wherever possible. ✅ Efficiency: Integritank is lightweight, at approximately 3kg/m², compared to hotmelt systems which range between 9-14kg/m². This results in a 20% volumetric saving. ✅ Logistics: Easier to transport via standard vans, unlike hotmelt systems which may require lorries. As we approach the height of summer, we’d like to draw focus to our 'Spotlight on... occupational cancers' initiative. Focusing on raising awareness about the health risks faced by construction workers, particularly skin and lung cancers resulting from prolonged exposure to carcinogens and UV radiation. Common hazards in the construction industry, such as asbestos, silica dust, diesel engine exhaust, paint, and UV radiation, can be inhaled or absorbed through the skin, significantly increasing the risk of cancer.
