A big part of our mission at Configur is to improve data literacy and controlled AI adoption across business...and what better way to prepare for he future than teaching children AI prompting. Barclays Eagle Labs and Tramshed Tech hosted a fantastic morning on Monday for business owners, professionals and their children to experience the fun side of some of the businesses in the Welsh Eco system. What did we do...we taught them to prompt and generate their own AI generated monster. I've included a small sample of them below and let me know if you can spot the adult/founder that got involved...George Bellwood ...also there's a Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Club fan in the mix... 5 years ✅ Extremely proud of what Marco and myself have built with Configur over the past half decade. Alongside the business, I also got married, bought a house, got a dog, and had 2 kids so it's been a pretty busy time! Huge thank you to everyone who's been a part of the journey so far, whether that's our incredible team both past and present, our fantastic customers, investors, advisors, family, friends and everyone who's liked or shared a post along the way. We rarely pause and take stock of our achievements, but today it's time to celebrate 🎉

I'm so proud of all we've achieved at Configur over the last 5 years and we had a fantastic evening celebrating with most of the team in Cardiff yesterday! We don't celebrate the wins enough as we are always driving forward but yesterday was the perfect moment of reflection and Karaoke! So much has happened both personally and professionally over that time I wouldn't even know where to start with listing it. But one thing I know is that it wouldn't have been as fun or successful without my Co-Founder Josh Evans being on the journey with me. Also a massive thank you to our amazing group of investors and board who have supported us all the way. We also have an amazing group of partners that make a huge difference and a massive thank you to you all too! The biggest thank you goes to all the team at Configur not just currently but all of you that have been involved throughout the last 5 years. I don’t usually share personal updates on here but the past 12 months of my life have been some of the most turbulent I’ve ever experienced and my mental health was at rock bottom. I walked away from a 6 year career with a big corporate that was no longer serving me. I had nothing else lined up at the time but I knew it was the only thing for me to do. Soon after this, I started going through a divorce, selling my ‘dream’ home, and trying to adjust to a very different life. At one point, I had no job, no home and no idea what to do next, I’d pressed the reset button on my entire life. Everything had been feeling wrong for so long and doing this was the only thing that felt right. In January I started a new role with tech startup Configur! The interview process was fast, they loved my experience, drive and enthusiasm and I quickly found my place in this small, punchy team of like-minded people. I’d never worked for a start-up before but Marco Oliver is an incredible salesman & leader and he won me over with his warm Welsh welcome and passion for the business & team he and Josh Evans created from scratch. The culture at Configur is positive, collaborative and bold. We don’t just talk the talk, we live and breathe our values every day. I work fully remotely, have complete autonomy over my day and my hours. I work with the most incredible people and the business trajectory is insane. My personal circumstances then found me looking after a Narrowboat for a friend, I got myself a Starlink and found myself surrounded by nature, still able to work remotely which was incredible. I slowly fell in love with the lifestyle, so I’m now in the process of renovating my own boat! Marco & the team could not have been more supportive, even more-so by recently letting me condense my hours over 4 days to make sure I had enough time to renovate my new home. My life is still a bit turbulent but everything looks a lot brighter than it did 12 months ago and having a supportive employer has played a huge part in turning my life around and having a positive impact on my mental health. The moral of the story is, if it’s not working, only you can CHANGE IT. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who cheer you on every day and actually give a shit about your wellbeing.
