Yet another approved eTechLog8 project! On Tuesday 4th June 2024 Smartwings transitioned fully to #eTechLog8 under the approval of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic and thus removed their paper aircraft technical logbooks. Smartwings are the first commercial airline operator in Czech Republic approved to fully remove all paper based technical logbook processes. The CAA-CZ approval will be quickly followed by approvals across the other Smartwings Group AOCs in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Vents Kristofers Lietavietis, Conduce Project Manager commented that “the Smartwings project team were very organised and empowered by the business to ensure that the project progressed in a timely and diligent manner. With fleet of forty aircraft to be enrolled onto eTechLog8 having an engaged project team with excellent communication skills allowed the project to be concluded quickly and efficiently. It’s been a pleasure to work with the Smartwings team!” Pavel Hovorka, Smartwings Technical Support and Project Manager stated the “the adoption of eTechLog8 across the fleet will bring significant operational benefits to the airline. Real time data availability enables better business decision-making every day. We had a great time at the Aircraft Commerce Airline and Aerospace MRO & Flight Operations IT Conference EMEA in Amsterdam last week! A very insightful presentation was given by the wonderful Masoud Al-Alawi from Etihad about the trials and tribulations of rolling out their #eCabinLog8 project two years after the full rollout of #eTechLog8 on the whole fleet. Paul Boyd also gave a super showcase presentation - we think this graph of genuine, fully approved eTechLog8 flights per day tells the story of the last few years so well!
