Focused value creation plans and buy-and-build strategies that expand beyond aggregation by realising synergies. 🤝 Origination in a Crowded Market: With an influx of GPs entering the space, it’s crucial to stand out by building trust, maintaining regular interactions with management, and consistently demonstrating clear value as a sponsor. A solid reputation and personalized support for entrepreneurs can make all the difference. 🔄 Continuation Vehicles (CVs): The panel also highlighted the growing importance of CVs for fostering ongoing partnerships and unlocking long-term growth for businesses. When coupled with transparency and alignment with LP interests, CVs offer flexible liquidity options and maximize asset potential well beyond traditional fund timelines. Datamars has been measuring their GHG footprint annually since 2020, helping them understand their impact, guide investment and track progress. We are delighted to shout out Datamars’ Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Teresa Steele-Rika, for her leadership and the significant strides taken as a result of her and the wider teams’ efforts, across Datamars sites. Over the past four years, Datamars has seen substantial reductions in direct GHG emissions – whilst the business and production volumes have continued to grow. 🔍📉 YoY reductions on total Scope 1, 2, 3* GHG emissions from base year (2020): 2021: 5% reduction against base year 2022: 10% reduction against base year 2023: 38% reduction against base year ♻ Change in action at the Datamars production sites: It is with great pride that we share that the team in Datamars Thailand, one of the company’s largest sites, has successfully reduced their waste output as a percentage of production and dramatically increased reuse and recycling rates. The percent of waste recycled increased 65% between 2020 and 2023, by establishing institutionalised waste sorting, reuse and recycling programs supported by best practice ISO14001 environmental management frameworks. As a result, emissions generated from the disposal of waste have decreased by over 80% since 2020. Achievements to date: 🔹 YoY reductions on total Scope 1, 2, 3 GHG emissions, with a 38% reduction against base year in 2023. 🔹 Datamars Thailand achieved ISO14001 (Environmental Management Systems) certification in 2021 and ISO50001 (Energy Management) certification in 2023. 🔹 Datamars Spain, the first major site to become ISO14001 certified in 2017, also became Datamars’ first major operational site to reach zero waste to landfill. 🔹 Datamars Slovakia and Switzerland achieved ISO 14001 certification in 2018. A huge thanks and recognition to the work of the Datamars team, Daniele Della Libera Kees van der Drift, their ESG Steering Committee and especially the teams within the operational hubs of Datamars around the world.
