Supporting organisations to solve the toughest challenges and empower teams to make a meaningful impact on communities
Scotland is open to investment and innovation. That was the theme of the First Minister's address today in advance of the Westminster budget next week. He called for “targeted public investment in knowledge” and wanted to “give every young person a chance of succeeding.” I was particularly pleased to hear him acknowledge the role of Scotland’s Colleges, and in his closing remarks, he made it clear that “Colleges are critical as they are alert to changes in the economy and have the skills and training resources that can be deployed to support the private sector.” This is an exciting time for Scotland, and it's clear that the tertiary education sector will play a pivotal role in shaping the future. I encourage all stakeholders across the UK’s tertiary education sector to support and collaborate on these efforts, ensuring that we collectively contribute to driving innovation, upskilling our workforce, and strengthening the economy. Together, we can make a lasting impact and ensure that young people across the country have the best possible opportunities for success. Let’s work together to make this vision a reality! #collegesScotland #Scotland #ScotlandisNow #firstminister
