🚀 Skills England & The Growth and Skills Levy: What Employers Need to Know The Labour Government’s new Skills England initiative aims to address the UK’s growing skills gap. The Growth and Skills Levy is set to replace the Apprenticeship Levy, bringing more flexibility and innovation to skills funding. We sat down with Anna Brailsford, CEO of Code First Girls, Karen Blake, CEO of Tech Talent Charter, and Lee Findell, Partner at WA Communications to explain what employers need to know and how they can prepare. Key Insights: 👉 Flexibility for employers: The new levy offers businesses more control over their contributions, enabling investment in training programs tailored to specific needs. 👉 Redistribution of unused funds: Unspent funds, previously returned to the Treasury, will now support essential skills training, addressing long-standing gaps in tech and other critical fields. 👉 More skills = more innovation: With a stronger focus on digital skills, UK businesses can expect increased productivity and innovation! Want to know how these changes could impact your business?
