I've just finished up my social media internship at Coaction Training CIC, working with the lovely Bex King. 💃🏻 Over the last few weeks, I've gone from having never heard the word 'Passivhaus' before, to writing several social media posts and course outlines for training that Coaction delivers. 🎉 Day 2 at the SPF Funded CWIC Wales PassiveHaus Tradesperson Course is well underway, and it's a busy and productive one! 🛠️ Today, we are delving deep into the essentials of membranes, tapes, and windows – crucial components for achieving PassiveHaus standards. Seeing the theory put into practice was immensely beneficial for all on our course this week. It's great to see Architects, Construction Managers, Clerks of Works and Tradespeople all learning together, and crucially from each other. Reaffirming the importance of precision and attention to detail in creating energy-efficient, comfortable homes. The 'Devil is in the Detail'! We're at Canolfan Tywi Centre today with Coaction Training CIC's Eric Fewster and are joined by company directors, architects, structural engineers, designers and technicians for day 1 of our second Passivhaus Trust Tradesperson course. Today's education is covering building physics, U-values, what it means to get airtightness right and knowing which tape to use for what job! These are being explored in the photos. It's proving to be a great opportunity to learn from past mistakes and understand how to do it right in future.
