Supporting Climate Solutions is our North Star. We believe humanity needs every tool in the box to fight climate change. Yet, many climate solutions do not get the attention they deserve. That’s why we are dedicated to helping climate start-ups. We are a non-profit marketing consultancy, accessible even to early-stage start-ups. Our processes are agile and get results fast . At the same time, we never compromise on quality and strive for excellence. Our founders have decades of leadership experience at the most senior level, from global multi million pound campaigns to commercial entrepreneurial projects, working with some of the best creative and thought partners. We use this expertise and our network of connections to help climate teams with: 1) compelling messaging 2) clear stakeholder strategy 3) unique look and feel 4) communication plans, and 5) great assets delivered quickly and competitively. We do this through our 2 strategic workshops and creative sprint, which we designed specifically for the climate sector. Our clients feel we are genuinely on their side. European NGO Carbon Gap said, “It’s rare to find a partner who understands the climate communication space as well as the Climate Agency does.” North American Start Up Powertrust said, “Sophie and Lisa took an extremely complex topic and made it digestible (…) helping us craft content that will break through the noise…” We understand speed matters. Typically, we’ll present practical recommendations and actions within weeks. We can’t keep quiet anymore… Following Frontier's announcement that they have selected Alithic as part of their latest carbon removal pre-purchase, we are thrilled to finally share a little bit more about what we’ve been working on. Alithic spun out from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023, after several years of research. Our unique process, invented by Professors Rob Anex and Bu Wang, integrates Direct Air Capture and ex-situ mineralization in a single step. This unlocks category-leading resource efficiency (less than 200 kWh of energy per ton of CO2 captured from the air and permanently sequestered) while also producing a valuable cement replacement product. We are extremely grateful to be backed by leading investors in the sector, namely Counteract, Kiko Ventures and Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) Ventures. We are also very thankful for the early support of Duncan Grierson of Clim8 Ventures. In the coming months, we’re excited to share more news about how we are growing Alithic. Do you think we all look somewhat similar? Yet we're all super different. It was great to take time during our strategy day this week, to understand more about each other. 🌅 What a great start to the day! We attended a very stimulating session from the Mission Zero Coalition as they launched their report 5 years on from the UK signing its net zero commitment into law. Great panel discussion on progress to date and the need to get stuff done NOW (plus the many practical things needed to enable that). And .... music to our ears... the need to now communicate net zero, not as a strapline in its own right, but in the form of BENEFITS to increase awareness, understanding and relevance.
