Our resources are differentiated so all of your children can do the same activity.

About us

We believe in time savers for teachers and homework aids for enthusiastic parents. Classroom Secrets focuses on differentiation so you can select the resources for each of your groups/tables and spend your weekends relaxing. For Teachers: Home of the ultimate resource bank. Differentiation is our thing. I'm sure you can remember a time when you found a great resource online for your middle table and then spent your whole weekend creating something similar for the bottom and top groups as there was nothing else out there. Not anymore! You'll find levels for our resources on the exact same topics ranked Beginner, Easy, Tricky, Expert, Brainbox and Genius - they're even colour coded too. For Parents: Differentiation is important for you too. You'll be able to work through the levels in a specific topic and see progression as the material gets harder. We also have resources centred around the 11 plus and entrance exam questions. Our theory is that getting feedback once from a tutor or parent on a wrongly answered question isn't enough. Each 11 plus resource is based on one question type only to promote confidence and help children to consolidate their learning.

Sometimes we just want a short text for our class to read – and to discuss – but we don’t want to have to spend time scrolling looking for age-appropriate vocabulary and a range of different text types. That’s why we’ve created some great new resources called Rise and Read for years 2 – 6. They are great to squeeze in another reading opportunity and to settle your class when they come in and get straight on task. We know that you don’t always have time to prepare an appropriate resource. That could take longer than the actual lesson! So we have everything you need for 5 sessions on Rise and Read – no more prep needed. We are starting by sharing an example pack for each year group. We will be sharing two packs, per half-term, so you’ll know that there will be more variety available for you. The texts and questions have been developed to encourage discussions linked to different text and question types. They provide more fluency practice and allow children to grapple with age-appropriate vocabulary. Some use real-world images, and develop general knowledge through the quotes section and the image section. Every pack is different. Use across one week or one a day for five weeks – as you know we just want to offer you the variety and you can pick and choose what works best for you. Click here: https://bit.ly/46AirlY

We all break up at slightly different times for the summer break, so save this link for when you're ready to think about the next academic year (after you’ve recharged your batteries and perhaps built a sandcastle! 🏰). When you are ready then have a look at our display resources to support your children with their GPS knowledge. Here’s what you can expect: • Common Exception Words: Clearly displayed to help children recognise and learn these tricky words. • Grammar Display: definitions and examples for all grammatical terms and tailored to each Key Stage. • Punctuation Display: examples of how to correctly use punctuation to remind and encourage your children. These packs are perfect for refreshing your working walls or for use on individual tables, making it easier for your children to grasp and retain key concepts. Click on the link and select your key stage : https://lnkd.in/dM83mhXM

We know how busy it is at this time of year - there is so much going on. Hang on in there. If you are already off for the summer or starting to think about next year then you might find these displays really helpful to brighten up your classroom. If you are not there yet - then just save this post until the right time for you. Changing displays can be a big job, so we've collated a few resources to get you started. If you have a maths area in your class, then our Maths General Display pack includes number lines, place value charts and multiplication charts. Our GPS packs include Common Exception Words and definitions and examples of the relevant grammatical terms and punctuation for your Key Stage that can be used on your tables or on the displays. Click here to see a range of displays to get you started. As with everything, just pick and choose what works for you and your class: https://lnkd.in/dVBTXu6C
