  • We are #proud to be one of five NHS trusts across England that have come together to form the Circular Economy Healthcare Alliance, demonstrating our commitment to a greener and more sustainable #NHS. 💚 Virginia Massaro is the Chief Financial Officer and Sustainability Lead at the Trust. She said: “Delivering high-quality sustainable healthcare to our patients protects the natural world and improves the health of our local communities. As an industry, healthcare providers see first-hand the effects of climate change; sometimes creeping symptoms, sometimes life-changing events. This alliance signals a bold move in the right direction, supporting our journey towards net zero.”  Read more about the partnership here: https://ow.ly/ZkXH50SEvjS

  • We recently held our latest International Medical Graduate (IMG) induction week, and were honoured to be joined by Professor Geeta Menon, National Dean for Inclusive Integrated Careers and Lead Dean for SAS and Locally Employed doctors and National Lead for Medical Workforce Race Equality Standard (MWRES). This is the 8th cohort of IMGs recruited into North West London Acute Provider Collaborative trusts, with a total of 17 doctors joining us from across NWL. We are proud to welcome and support this cohort as they begin their NHS careers. Professor Menon gave an inspiring talk to graduates, reflecting on her own experience as an IMG, highlighting ways to overcome challenges in practical ways and stressed the value of skills that IMGs bring into the NHS. She also advised on career pathways and development for IMGs. We are grateful to Professor Menon for joining us for this event, and she continues to be a huge champion and supporter of the work we do. Well done to all involved in making this a successful induction week!
