We're so proud to hear that Avery, one of this year's fantastic Charityworks trainees will be running the London Marathon next year to raise funds for Barnardo's. With Avery's placement at Barnardo's coming to an end, she still wants to help the charity to fundraise. We're inspired by Avery's commitment and wish her the best of luck with this challenge! https://lnkd.in/eY5uttiG

Our passion is ensuring the non-profit sector benefits from the next generation of talent. We are so pleased to have helped many wonderful charities access this talent, and love hearing their first hand accounts. Hear from Toby Porter, Hospice UK's CEO below: "In my experience (I have used Charityworks in my last 3 roles, and always been thrilled to have done so). You just go with a job vacancy to Charityworks, and they match it against a young person who they have assessed and prepared for interview. You interview the candidate as you would any vacancy and, if you proceed, you pay a small fee. When I joined Hospice UK, I lucked out especially big time, as Charityworks placed Matilde at the end of 2022 in our vacant Executive Assistant role. Her first job after graduation, Matilde has been quite exceptional In this role supporting myself, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board, one of the most talented and popular colleagues I have ever had the privilege to work with. Just under 5% of our workforce, Hospice UK, joined via Charityworks." Toby Porter, Hospice UK CEO

Charityworks Showcase Event ✨ Today, we met up with other trainees and hosts to celebrate the past year and learn more about best practice in the sector. It has almost been a year since Amy Cayzer joined our team as part of the impactful non-profit graduate scheme Charityworks. We loved learning more about the brilliant research that was showcased at the event. A huge congratulations to all trainees for completing their impact research reports! Keep an eye on our socials as we’ll be sharing our research findings soon 👀 #Charityworks #ImpactResearch #NonProfitSector

We recently held our 2024 Charityworks showcase - an opportunity for our brilliant trainees to present the findings from their Impact Research projects. Their research covered an impressive range of topics from 'Stakeholder Engagement' and 'Bringing in Lived Experience' through to 'Marketing and Branding for GenX donors' and 'Impact Measurement'. Their findings have been invaluable to their host organisations. We're so proud of all our trainees, and thank you so much to those who came to the event to talk us through your thought-provoking research! https://lnkd.in/eN4PWEP8

It's the time of year where our Charityworks trainees begin to submit their Impact Research after months of hard work! I've put some of my initial reflections on the great submissions we've already received in my first piece on the Koreo Medium.
This week we have received the first batch of Impact Research from our trainees.

Around ⅔ of the G15 housing providers have partnered with Charityworks, including around 40 trainees placed with our partner SNG (Formerly Network Homes) - in areas such as Business Performance and Partnerships, Customer services and Finance. Tania joined Charityworks working in Housing Management for Network Homes, where she was also part of the Racial Equality Action Group (REAG). Tania was shortlisted for The G15 Ethnicity in Housing Awards for the Future Leader Award and the Early Housing Career Award and was placed in the Top 20 of HQN’s Housing’s Next Generation competition. She is still at Network Homes today, working in their Policy & Comms team. Robbie was hired as a Sustainability and Asset Management (2022) trainee for his placement year on Charityworks, before being offered a permanent role as Sustainability Officer, continuing with SNG, where he is employed today. The placement matching process is currently open, and the deadline for roles for the first phase of matching is the 12th July, so get in touch with us today to find out how we can support your resourcing needs: https://lnkd.in/en2_arw4
