This week is #ZeroWasteWeek 🌍
We’re proudly shining a light on our incredible partnerships and the efforts of our teams to actively reduce waste across our locations. Our obsession for food and beverage, goes way beyond delighting diners – we’re committed to being forever conscious, protecting our planet and supporting our communities. We’re always thinking up new ways, big or small, to make a difference beyond every plate.
Our teams are not just fuelling customers, they’re fuelling change. Last year, they took on the challenge to overhaul the beverage offering, focusing on smarter solutions. By tapping into our client’s existing distribution network, the team streamlined delivery of our supply to all locations, cutting down on road miles!
This April, we also made a bold move and brewed a game-changing swap – out with 1.1 million single-use pods and in with tea and coffee from social enterprises at every single location which comes in packaging that is either recyclable or compostable.
We’re proud to partner with TrueStart Coffee | Certified B Corp | Carbon Negative, where every tin of coffee purchased provides a Magic Breakfast for children in poverty - turning every morning brew into a force for good. Our partnership with NEMI Teas brings organic, plastic-free tea blends in biodegradable packaging. Profits for each cup support refugees in the UK, helping them find employment and a fresh start. Our brilliant team even helped develop one of their latest blends, the Trampoline Tea!
Another team of trailblazers at a Loughborough location have also been taking bold steps forward, creating a disposable-free space. They’ve made incredible progress so far, saying goodbye to single-use plastics and ditching disposable coffee cups.
We’re proudly partnering with CauliBox – a game-changing reusable lunchbox system. It’s as simple as scan, eat, return, and repeat! The boxes are then thoroughly sanitised and ready to be reused. With Cauli Box in place from this week, the location is almost entirely disposable-free.
