Helping studios, distributors, broadcasters and pay TV operators wth complex procurements is my absolute favourite type of project. At Caretta Research we've worked with some of the biggest names in the industry to help them make the right choices in rights management, MAM, OVP/streaming platforms and systems integration. Running procurements, RFPs, POCs, and vendor selection effectively -- in a way that gets the best outcomes for buyer and vendors is a core part of that. Yes, there is a place for the RFP (however hated by vendors) -- but it needs the right approach if an RFP is to be an effective tool to choose vendors in a meaningful way, and it needs to be supported by a broader engagement, including structured demos or POCs. Do read the report on media technology procurement we produced with Bubble Agency based on a global industry survey (download from our website) ... and join us for a discussion today (2pm UK time), hosted by Perifery, and including the very sound advice of Thalia Crone at Fremantle, one of our industry's leading tech buying experts.
