Through our “Lets Talk” programme, we've trained Tesco pharmacists to have conversations with customers about cancer. If you've spotted something unusual or are worried about a symptom, you can speak to a Tesco pharmacist for information and guidance on the next steps 🗣 We know that the earlier cancer is diagnosed, the higher the chances are of a successful treatment. However, last year one of our surveys found that around half of people experiencing possible symptoms of cancer didn’t contact their GP within six months. That's why we're proud to launch this pharmacy campaign in partnership with Tesco - thank you for your ongoing commitment and support of our work. #Partnership #News #Health

We're thrilled to announce that our INTER-EWING-1 trial, the largest and most ambitious study ever for Ewing sarcoma, is now underway! This groundbreaking trial is exploring new and better ways of treating Ewing sarcoma, a bone and soft tissue cancer that affects all ages but is most common in children and young people. For the first time, some newly diagnosed patients will be offered an innovative targeted drug (called regorafenib) alongside chemotherapy. By blocking some of the tricks that cancer cells use to direct their growth, regorafenib could help change outcomes for people with more advanced cancers. Building on past clinical trials, with increased funding and international collaboration, we're hopeful that INTER-EWING-1 will bring new hope to patients with Ewing sarcoma. Cancer Grand Challenges team Rosetta, funded by us, has taken breast cancer research one step further 💡 Using the tools they developed for understanding cancer metabolism, Rosetta found how some of the most aggressive and hard-to-treat breast cancers get the energy they need to grow and spread so quickly. Now, researchers are in position to test ways of slowing these cancers down for good. This is just one example of how the Cancer Grand Challenges initiative is powering life-saving research. Today marks #NationalInclusionWeek, and this year's theme is 'Impact Matters' 🗣 Our mission is to beat cancer, and that means beating it for everyone. To make the greatest impact for those affected by cancer, we all need to feel like we can be ourselves and can create change at work. Throughout the week, we'll be hosting a staff event to help us have courageous conversations and address non-inclusive behaviour. We'll also highlight how our teams are already creating inclusive environments and the positive impact this is having on our mission. Join us in celebrating diversity and inclusion, and find out more about our mission to beat cancer for everybody: https://cruk.ink/3ztlHTU

Kaynath is a member of our Inclusion and Involvement Steering Group - a part of our Patient Involvement Network of over 1,800 people who share their personal experiences of cancer to help shape and influence our work. She's pictured here at our exhibition at the Science Museum Group last year. She shares "My friend Suhaila and I, both went to the exhibition. We've both had personal experiences related to cancer, and wanted to learn more. I was interested in being in the steering group because, being South Asian, I wanted to share my family's experiences of cultural differences and language barriers and hear everyone's unique stories. I can voice my feedback and learn from other members". Kaynath's currently studying Nursing. Being in the steering group has helped her understand and learn more about people experiencing cancer - she's even hoping to have a future career in oncology. Thanks to Kaynath and our other members who support our work - beating cancer means beating it for everyone ❤️ #CancerExperience #PatientInvolvement
