“People in the city would take it for granted but what I can now do while working at sea is a game-changer.” For Iain MacAskill, a commercial fisherman on the Isle of Skye, enhanced #4G connectivity across the west coast of the Scottish Highlands is helping #transform his #business.   Iain’s story features in a new study from FarrPoint that has analysed the benefits of #4G connectivity in rural areas across the UK.    #4G coverage from the EE mast in Mallaig has been found to deliver economic and social well being benefits to local communities worth up to £1,054,000.   Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e2QZde8j Want to discover more about all the improvements we’ve made to our EE mobile #network across #Scotland? Last Thursday we hosted our first ever IRL event, in partnership with BT Business. We welcomed over 100 marketers, small businesses, professionals and industry experts to BT HQ in London where we had an evening of curated creativity. A huge thank you to our panelists, Henry Wadsworth, 🔥 Pollyanna Ward and George Nikolaou who discussed topics including social media and influencer marketing, attention v creativity, the impact of storytelling, culture and community and so much more. We had a highly successful evening with lots of networking and connections being made. Thank you to everyone who attended! We’re excited to begin planning our next event. Another exciting day in EE retail! This morning, we opened our new Stratford Experience store in Westfield Stratford City, with the help of comedian and actor, Michael Dapaah. Our second London Experience store since the launch of our Studio last June, it’s been designed to support the local East London community with all their technology needs. Head down where you can expect the most personal customer service, expert support from our wonderful EE Guides and the latest connected tech. As always, a huge thank you to our brilliant Stratford store team. And from store launches to Summer Retail Roadshows, as this afternoon we were in Central London delivering our 9th roadshow over the past fortnight. Another great opportunity to meet our colleagues, celebrate their amazing achievement and share our exciting plans for EE in what’s to come. We have an ambition to be the most personal, customer-focused brand, something we can’t achieve without our teams. Every day they continue to offer the most personal, expert advice to communities across the country, helping them to navigate the world of technology. It’s what new EE is all about and I couldn’t be prouder of their success. With England, Scotland and Northern Ireland all visited looking forward to being in Wales next week. All this as we continue to reinvent retail at EE. Thank you Dean King, Josh Pheby, Lucy Grimes, Luke Walmsley, Alan Howard Anthony Jones Jason Bray and teams to make this ambition a reality.

At BT Group we want to be a company that’s there for our people when they need us. In the past month, we’ve reviewed our policies and benefits, making significant improvements to how we support our colleagues. For carers, we now offer up to two weeks paid leave so colleagues can support their loved ones who have a disability, a long-term illness or older parents. For parents, we’re introducing a new family leave policy for any parent welcoming a new child. That’s 18 weeks’ full pay, then 8 weeks’ half pay and up to 26 weeks’ at the statutory rate, for every parent, no matter how their family is made up. And to support colleague wellbeing, we now offer access to a 24/7 online GP service and additional women’s health services, which includes help with menopause symptoms, cancer screenings and periods. All this puts BT Group in the top 33% of FTSE100 employers. With less than 50% of companies offering aligned maternity and paternity leave, BT Group is one of the leaders in our sector. Watch our recent video featuring colleagues from across the business demonstrating how important their family time is to them. It touches on the real-life experience of parenting and caring, so if you find either of these subjects difficult for you personally, you don’t need to watch it – all the information you need is in this post. #FamilyLeave #Support #Wellbeing
