✨Last week, we hosted our annual BSR Fest to celebrate as a team and recognise the hard work and dedication put in day in and day out. We were fortunate to have perfect weather as the sun made a welcome appearance for the occasion! ☀ The day featured a fantastic quiz hosted by Quiz Coconut (https://quizcoconut.co.uk/) that brought out our competitive spirit, along with engaging lawn games. 🎉 The Horseless Bar (https://lnkd.in/eBZsF-7H) kept us refreshed with a wide variety of drinks. 🥂 Delicious Souldough Pizza 🍕 (https://lnkd.in/e3Yd4URu) and Pura Vida Tacos 🌮 (https://lnkd.in/easE-8J7) were very popular amongst the team, along with Ollys Lollys Ice cream 🍦, which provided a tasty treat to cool us down after dancing to great music thanks to Kieran Clarke DJ 🎶 (https://lnkd.in/eeki7jSb). BSR is thrilled to have worked alongside the Aller Langport community, including the village of Oath, to provide a defibrillator for the area. Being based in Somerset, we care deeply about the local communities that live and work alongside us. At our Aller Langport site, we have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the community to build long lasting relationships. This beautiful and scenic area is a haven for avid hikers, cyclists, and other outdoor enthusiasts. The picturesque landscapes make it an ideal location for outdoor activities, drawing visitors who enjoy exploring nature, exercising, and experiencing the countryside. However, with increased activity, there's a higher chance of accidents or health emergencies. BSR understands that in a small, remote village, reaching emergency services can take longer, which can be critical for someone who is unwell. Therefore, we were eager to be involved in this project and thrilled to provide financial aid by purchasing a defibrillator for the area. We are immensely grateful to the Environment Agency for allowing the defibrillator to be placed on their land, as well as for handling the installation and providing the necessary power. It was wonderful to meet everyone involved before their First Aid training hosted by Lee at JaLee First Aid Training yesterday evening! Thank you all for your commitment and teamwork!

British Solar Renewables is thrilled to announce the close of its first portfolio financing, marking a significant milestone for BSR. This portfolio, part of of an extensive pipeline of solar PV and BESS projects, includes five co-located solar, battery energy storage, and standalone solar assets in the UK and Australia, with a combined capacity of 124MW. Generating 132GWh annually, these assets will power over 30,000 households and benefit from contracted revenues earned from AR5 CfD, utility, and corporate PPAs. BSR Energy has secured planning approval from Maldon District Council for the Dengie Solar Park near the village of Dengie, Essex. This 33-hectare development will generate 19 MW of renewable energy, enough to power 4,751 homes and save 4,208 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually over its 40-year lifespan. Despite initial concerns about flood risks and environmental impact, BSR Energy addressed these issues by relocating key infrastructure and implementing a comprehensive mitigation strategy for wildlife and landscape impact.
