Generating over £2million since April this year alone, it’s fair to say that Brimmond’s marine crane division is having an exceptional year ⭐ With an enviable track record in successfully supplying and servicing marine cranes to suit client requests, Brimmond, stock, rent, refurbish, repair and upgrade a diverse and ever-increasing range of new and secondhand marine cranes. As the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor, service partner and agent for Heila Marine Cranes, the company continues to invest in stock marine cranes with the aim of reducing lead times, and offering a higher quality service to customers. ➡ Technical Sales Manager, Paul Dingwall said: “Supply chains continue to be tested, which has affected all marine crane manufacturers as they struggle to source materials. This has translated into increased costs and even possible project delays. Based on this, Brimmond took the decision that it is imperative to keep stock of marine crane models which should assist our clients who require a quicker turnaround at a secure cost. “We have maintained a varied range of sizes of marine crane models over the last couple of years, from 8 tonne-meter (txm) up to 175txm for our stock, all now successfully sold and operating on client assets.” Earlier in the year Brimmond secured an order for its largest crane to date, a 650 tonne-meter (txm) Heila Active Heave Compensated (AHC) Offshore Subsea Lifting Crane. This impressive high specification model is currently in production at the Heila Factory in Italy, but Brimmond are happy to announce that an identical crane is being manufactured for stock and due to be completed early 2025. Set to complete the third of his fourth year apprenticeship, Shaun has combined college studies with hands on experience, travelling and working on some high-profile projects including the renowned Sir David Attenborough vessel! 🔺 Laura Grant, Graduate Engineer. After achieving a first-class mechanical engineering degree, Laura joined the team and spent six months in our workshop gaining hands on experience. Now in the design phase of the program applying her engineering expertise to clients specifications, she is loving putting theory into practice. 🔺 Bruce Cowie, Lead Technical Support Engineer. With 10 years at Brimmond under his belt, Bruce joined the team as a mobile technician travelling the UK repairing cranes. Since then, he has worked offshore and around the world looking after all of our offshore and crane techs, project managing all repairs and refurbishments... and this year will head up the team of 10 working on a major onsite project! 🔺 Pauline Cordiner, Rentals Manager. Day to day, Pauline runs a busy and successful department overseeing the Brimmond fleet of rental equipment and pool of personnel. Juggling a full time full with part time study was "either brave or daft"... but achieving her BA (Hons) in Business Management was an epic achievement which has allowed her to develop new skills across a wide range of functions. Over the past five years our bright orange Charlie House HQ HPU has spent time on three renowned North-Sea platforms - the Dunlin Alpha, Brent Charlie and now the Thistle.   In this time it has racked up a total of 1392 days of rental - equating to 83.84% utilisation ⭐   All whilst raising money and awareness for our brilliant local charity partner🧡 Last week it made it's way home to our workshop in Kintore, Aberdeenshire to undergo its 5-yearly inspection & refurbishment... and the results speak for itself!   The service included: •          Overhaul the motors & enclosures •          Blast & paint frames & associated parts •          Rewire / replace electrical cable •          Replace all bolting •          Replace the tarpaulin •          Re-hose all the internal hoses •          Carry out full recertification •          Full FAT complete (as if new built)   We do this for every item within our own fleet - and we can offer this service for yours too.   ➡ Find out more about our refurbishment & service offering here: https://lnkd.in/escBFpax   Or get in touch with our team Matt and David at [email protected] who'd love to help!   #refurbishment #service #inspection

📸 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭...   We're often told by clients and visitors that they are guaranteed to be welcomed to Brimmond with a friendly smile 😄   When the very talented Pawel came along to take new leadership team headshots (mugshots?) for the website, the team donned their finest blazers, hair and make up was perfected, and we got the job done.   But when looking at the range of photos, it was the candid laughs and smiles captured by the camera that really stuck out.   Let's be real... work isn't always a bed of roses.
