Brigade has opened its doors to school and university students, offering invaluable work experience across various departments. We’ve had the pleasure of mentoring talented individuals from esteemed grammar schools and top-tier UK universities. Our work experience placements range from one week to several months and are designed to help young people channel their career aspirations and gain hands-on industry experience. Our goal is to ignite a passion for engineering and STEM fields by providing real-world experience. We encourage students to explore different departments, develop essential skills, engage in enriching activities, and attend industry events. By offering real-world experiences and nurturing career ambitions, we aim to inspire the next generation of engineers and STEM professionals. Last March, Brigade paused operations for a day to launch our Culture event for the entire Brigade family, including subsidiaries. This event marked the birth of our Five Values, which have since become the foundation of our behaviours. A year later, we organised a Culture refresher session, "Being Brigade," for all new starters since March 2023 and colleagues who couldn’t attend the initial event. Conducted both face-to-face and virtually, it enabled our subsidiaries to participate as we shared Brigade’s progress in establishing a new culture and introduced our core values and behaviours. Our culture change is more than words; it involves embedding these values into every aspect of our operations. These are the guiding principles for our actions and fundamental to our quarterly Value Awards. We have witnessed remarkable changes within the business as we integrate these values and behaviours into our current and future initiatives. Team Brigade delivered an impressive performance at the Transaid Football Cup 2024! This annual fundraising event united 15 teams from the #logistics and #transport industry to support Transaid's mission of enhancing healthcare and road safety through innovative transport solutions. Our team showed remarkable resilience in a tough final match. Despite a narrow defeat, their determination and spirit were truly inspiring.
