We’re a talent consultancy, but we don’t believe potential can be seen entirely on a CV. For us, diversity isn’t something to be hidden, it’s an advantage. Skills and personality fit are just as important as experience, and in our opinion you do the best work when you can be yourself and play to your strengths. What do we mean by diversity? Anyone who has a varied perspective. We think there is value to diverse thought - whether ethnicity, socio-economic, gender, sexuality, age, neurodiversity, or disability. We’re here to accelerate the industries’ mission to become more diverse and inclusive, by placing an emphasis on potential, rather than hiring purely based on a CV. Both agency owners and in-house departments are struggling to find, retain and get the most from their staff, especially those from diverse backgrounds. It’s a huge issue. In this industry, people are your product and the talent you employ is your value. But this isn’t just about ‘doing the right thing’. How can you effectively communicate to the population if you do not effectively reflect the population? The makeup of the UK public is diverse, the sector is not.     We've loved working with the legendary Tom Oldham over the past few months who has launched his latest project ‘The Hopefuls,’ aimed at addressing the widespread political disillusionment among first-time voters in the UK. The powerful non-partisan and self-funded project (produced by the brilliant Ruth Newton) captures portraits and interviews of candidates from across the whole political spectrum. It aims to familiarise first-time voters with the diverse breadth of candidates running locally and encourage them to vote as new research as part of the project reveals more than half (56%) of first-time voters do not believe there is a political party that truly represents them and less than a fifth (18%) know who their local MP is. Great partnering with our friends at Shape History on this one.
