Exploring the Moon, Mars and beyond. 🌖🪐🌍 bp America has signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA to support common goals in space exploration and #Energy production. bp and NASA have long pioneered emerging technologies in their industries and continue to utilize industry-leading equipment driven by engineering, science and #Technology. Both bp and NASA operate in some of the harshest environments known to man, from over 7,000 feet underwater, through to millions of miles away in space. 🚀 The initial phase will focus on developing standards and expanding the capabilities of visualization and simulation models, building on our long history of working together, including bp’s Castrol lubricants being used for many of NASA’s Apollo missions. This agreement will support the safe provision of reliable energy for today, while building out tomorrow’s energy system – aiming to deliver higher margins and lower emissions, whilst laying the foundation for future collaborations between bp and NASA. Our colleagues in London and South East recently enjoyed a Family Day at our Sunbury campus!👏    Set up by our Working Families business resource group and workplace team, the day saw us welcome over 3,400 bp colleagues and their families where they enjoyed a range of activities including a petting zoo, fairground games, face painters, a wonderful performance from our very own choir and even a silent disco!🕺    We pride ourselves on doing what we can to support our colleagues in bringing their best selves to work. It’s part of ‘Who we are’.    Creating an environment where parents and carers can thrive is important to us and family days can play a huge role in this. This week we have taken Final Investment Decision (FID) on Kaskida, our sixth operated platform in the Gulf of Mexico - a key region for us that delivers value for bp, and provides the #Energy the world needs. ⚡🌍 This will be a world-class production hub, utilizing sophisticated #Seismic imaging and industry-proven drilling #Technology.
