Yesterday we got the BEST news 💯💯💯 To be awarded a place on the Best Companies top 100 for a second year is MEGA❤️🔥 For us the award is about commitment to being a great place to work, fostering a happy team and creating the best experience for everyone. It’s a pretty jam-packed week in Manchester, we’re mid-way through Eat Well, Do Good festival 👌 You don't really need a reason for a Negroni on a Friday but with each one ordered we’re donating £1 to Eat Well who make sure those in need eat well. We had party for Shoreditch's 6th trip around the sun, we couldn't help but pile a whole load of Birthday candles on an All In. We’re sure for lots, Shoreditch was probably your first Blacklock Chop or Roast - it was for Matt, our GM, who had his 29th birthday here and we left him the whole tray of Cheesecake ablaze with candles, for Sonny (an OG) he came in the first opening three weeks and never looked back. It's always special to mark moments like the once Shoreditch Furniture Factory, now Chop House turning 6 and it makes it even better to be doing it with an awesome team 🍾 Happy Birthday Shoreditch, thank you for all the good times had 🎂 P.S. we did have a cake too - promise!

Feeling super lucky to have such a brilliant group of people coming from all over as we get to work putting in place the finishing touches in time to open Blacklock Manchester💯 This morning we paced the length and breadth of Peter Street in anticipation of pressing send on our soft launch invites for Blacklock Manchester. We've been totally blown away by the response, with it fully booking quicker than we could throw a peace sign up and say Chop Love. PROMOTION ALERT - And it is a BIG ONE! 🥳 2 years and 10 months ago Blacklock were blessed with the joining of the fabulous Matt Hedges! Since then Matt has cuddled the team in Soho to greatness, moved over to CG taking it by storm and wowing us with his get stuff done but always looking after people, approach! We are delighted to announce that as of Monday this week, Matt took the baton (or chalk board if you will) from Lucy as GM of Shoreditch! Matt we couldn’t be more proud, we know that anyone who has been lucky enough to work alongside you, will agree, Shoreditch are in very safe hands! Huge Congrats from all of us at Blacklock 🥩♥️

Over the weekend we laced up our boots and headed out to the Peak District to hike against homelessness for our friends at Only A Pavement Away. Close to 25,589 steps* later, the team made it back to base safe and sound with smiles all round 🙌 The expedition raised almost £30,000 which is ace!
