Exciting news…🤩 John Beadle, recently retired Director of our orchestra, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, has been awarded with the Royal Ballet Governors' Gold Medal! The Gold Medal has been awarded annually since 2006 to recognise the outstanding contribution of an unsung hero or heroine of the Royal Ballet companies. The medal was presented by the Governors yesterday at Sadler’s Wells during a surprise ceremony. This is a wonderful recognition of John’s incredible career and contribution to orchestral playing in ballet.
