Hallucinogenic Teletubbies ☢️🌞🪆👽 ❓Want to hear what that could sound like? Sonata for Broken Fingers with BCMG on Sunday 14 July in Birmingham. https://lnkd.in/ekuRCu2x ❗️Joe Cutler’s first opera with Librettist Max Hoehn, inspired by the remarkable life of pianist Maria Yudina living under Stalin’s brutal regime. A dark absurdist thriller, conceived as an intimate and claustrophobic experience told over an hour. A world premiere commissioned by Opera21 and co-produced in partnership with BCMG and Birmingham Record Company (Birmingham Conservatoire).

Wonderful day out at the Cultural and Creative Industries Garden Party, hosted at Buckingham Palace, The Royal Household Lovely day out for team Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and great to reconnect with lots of old friends and colleagues (with a spot of royal/celeb spotting!). Thanks to Arts Council England for inviting the team and Department for Culture, Media and Sport for hosting. It was great for allowing us to take stock, celebrate and meet so many brilliant people across our industry.
