About us
Big Mamma is an Italian restaurant group founded in 2013 by Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger. Our wish is to share the authenticity and warmth of traditional Italian trattorias abroad. All produce is directly sourced from small Italian producers, dishes are 100% homemade, served at affordable prices, in beautifully designed spaces, and with a big smile. Italian cuisine is about the quality of the ingredients, so we’ve partnered with small producers - Prosciutto di Parma from Stefano Borchini, San Marzano tomatoes from Paolo Ruggiero, flour from Antimo Caputo, to say the least! We are currently a team 2.200 employees and the family is still growing, with new openings coming up in 2024 across Europe. In Europe, we currently manage : - 8 trattorias and one food market in Paris : East Mamma, Ober Mamma, Mamma Primi, Big Love, Pizzeria Popolare, Pink Mamma, La Felicità and Libertino. - 1 trattoria in Lille (France): La Bellezza - 1 trattoria in Lyon (France): Carmelo - 1 trattoria in Bordeaux (France): Palatino - 1 trattoria in Marseille (France): Splendido - 5 trattorias in London (UK): Gloria, Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario, Jacuzzi & Carlotta - 3 trattoria in Madrid (Spain): Belmondo, Villa Capri , Circolo Popolare - 1 trattoria in Munich (Germany): Giorgia - 1 trattoria in Berlin (Germany): Coccodrillo - 1 trattoria in Hamburg (Germany): Edmondo - 1 trattoria in Monaco (Principality of Monaco) : Giacomo - 1 trattoria in Milan (Italy) : Gloria Osteria - 1 trattoria in Brussels (Belgium) : Barracuda We launched, in 2020, the new digital food brand: Napoli gang. We also place great importance on our social and environmental footprint and we’ve recently acquired the B-Corp international label. Our beloved Restaurant Manager at Circolo Popolare London 🇬🇧 Born in Albania and raised on the lovely beaches of Ancona (if you haven’t been, go to Marche!), Serxhio began his adventure with the Big Mamma famiglia in 2019, helping to launch Gloria, our first location in London ✨ After a couple of years enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Shoreditch and receiving an exciting promotion to Restaurant Manager, he flew to Madrid to spend time with our amigos at Big Mamma Spain 💃 Now, he’s back at Circolo Popolare, running our lovely trattoria in Fitzrovia alongside 70 amazing colleagues and ensuring that every meal feels like an Italian festa 🥳

Another 4-Hands dinner in Big Mamma! 🤝 On October 21st, Pizzeria Popolare was all about the 🍅pomodori🍅 at our unforgettable "Pomodori Party," with our iconic San Marzano tomato supplier, Solania s.r.l., in the spotlight. For one night only, our superstar pizzaiolo Raffaele Bonetta teamed up with the OG of wood-fired pizzas, Andrea De Michele, for a fire 🔥 four hands dinner. The menu? A tomato-packed lineup that included San Marzano tatin, three-tomato risotto, a spicy marinara pizza, and even a tantalizing tomato-vanilla cheesecake! 🍅

Celebrating Culinary Education in Coccodrillo during the Berlin Food Festival! 🇩🇪 The Coccodrillo team is thrilled to have been part of the Gönn Dir Gastro project for the second consecutive year during the Berlin Food Festival! This amazing initiative introduces young people to the vibrant world of gastronomy, hosting over 40 workshops across some of Berlin's most esteemed venues. On October 8th, our talented bar team, led by bar master Gianmarco Costa conducted an engaging workshop on the basics of drink creation and bar tools. Participants had the chance to learn firsthand about mixology and the artistry behind crafting the perfect drink. 🍹 Then, on October 10th, head chef chiara cavuoto guided a delightful pasta-making workshop, where attendees rolled up their sleeves to create fresh pasta from scratch. The energy and creativity in the room were truly inspiring! 🍝 We are proud to support the next generation of culinary talents and excited to see what they will achieve in their gastronomic journeys.
