The BGF Foundation awarded Oxfordshire Youth a £5k community grant in September 2023. Since then, staff from three BGF teams have provided pro-bono expertise to support the growing youth development charity. ◾Investor Guy Pope supported on financial strategy to help navigate funding challenges ◾Natasha Murray, Research and Intelligence Manager, shared her expertise in knowledge management to help the charity adapt as it grows ◾Business Systems Manager Adam Hussey advised on new software and offered guidance on their data management systems Both Oxfordshire Youth and BGF volunteers reported the positive impact of the collaboration, highlighting the value of skills-based volunteering for the charity, the volunteers and the business. A year on from BGF's investment, UK-based SEVERN DRIVES & ENERGY LIMITED (SDE) is expanding internationally with a new US facility. The Leicestershire-headquartered business provides repair and maintenance services to critical infrastructure, with customers including EDF, ScottishPower Renewables, SSE plc and E.ON. SDE’s new 30,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in Wisconsin will enable the business to meet rising demand, boost future sustainable growth and triple its US workforce over the next two to three years!
