9 months ago, we kicked off our first (in many years) London office Lead Engineer Development Programme and this month saw its finale. It combined in-house project management skills modules with externally-facilitated off-site teamwork & leadership workshops. Effective Lead Engineers are absolutely critical in the successful delivery of our complex projects and it was extremely satisfying to be able to provide them time and opportunity to explore and mutually benefit from each others' and our SMEs' knowledge and experiences. All delegates were successful but they highlighted particular contributions from James Primrose, Eduardo Aja and Simon Rigg. Thank you to Shilpi Mittal for continuing the programme, and Jake Meyer BEM FRGS, Iain Robertson and LANCE GERRARD-WRIGHT at Inspirational Group for their insightful navigation through the process!

Really pleased you had such a positive experience on the programme, Billy! We thoroughly enjoyed delivering it, you were a great cohort. Hopefully see you again in the future.
Last month I was delighted to be nominated to attend a leadership course at The Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, run by the fantastic team at Inspirational Group. I had the pleasure to attend this course last week. This course was fascinating, enjoyable, insightful and overall a brilliant learning experience. It was a great networking session to allow me to speak to colleagues I previously hadn’t crossed paths with, but primarily to develop skills and knowledge as I look to delve into becoming more of a leader as part of my medium to long term goals. I won't speak too much about the specifics of the course to not spoil it if anyone else is lucky enough to attend in the future, but highly recommend for those that get the opportunity to go. It will challenge you mentally to really think outside the box and provide useful tips to not even just enhance your professional side, but your personal life too. Huge thanks to John Griffin for putting my name forward and allowing me to participate in this course.

I've just been directed to this fascinating (and slightly terrifying!) report by Cara Cunniff. It adds data to my significant anecdotal experience - 82% of managers receive no formal training before taking on a management role; and 33% *never* receive any training - the definition of an "accidental manager". As we can see below, the impact of an effective manager on their team is significant, and we at Inspirational Group are focused on providing leaders and managers with the tools they need to inspire their teams for a Better Tomorrow. Don't be part of the generation of accidental mangers and leaders - and don't let your organization be part of this widespread issue.

Last week, I had the pleasure of taking part in a leadership course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. We covered a range of subjects including people's social styles, leadership & followership, handling conflicts and building trust. This was also a great opportunity to meet new people! A big thank you to Angie Churchill for nominating me, to LANCE GERRARD-WRIGHT and Iain Robertson for hosting the event and sharing their valuable leadership experiences and thank you to Inspirational Group and John Griffin for organising it. I look forward to applying what I've learned in the workplace! #IDG #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopment

Once upon a time, Sonu, a young notorious prankster caged a butterfly in his hands. 🦋 He ran towards his teacher, Ms. Shanti and asked challengingly, "Is the butterfly alive or dead?". 😏 He'd planned to trick her. If she said it was dead, he would let the butterfly fly free, or if she said it was alive, he would crush it in his fist. 😈 Ms. Shanti paused for a moment, looked at Sonu in the eyes, smiled, and said calmly, "It lies in your hands..." 🙂 This powerful story perfectly encapsulates the message we delivered at a recent workshop at Grand Hyatt Goa for Macmillan Education. The session, titled "Taking Charge: Steering Your Success," focused on empowering the mid-level managers to take ownership of their professional journeys. We delved into the concept of: 🔹 Proactive career management, 🔹Strategic Goal-Setting, 🔹Taking actions in the right direction, and 🔹 Navigate challenges and roadblocks on the way The interactive session buzzed with energy as these rising stars engaged in 🔸 insightful discussions, 🔸shared experiences, and 🔸formulated actionable plans. It's incredibly rewarding to see individuals take charge and ownership of their own career advancement. 🙂 Thanks Riya Arora and Inspirational Group for this incredible opportunity! Thanks Nitin Kulkarni for being such an amazing co-facilitator and Garima T. for the seamless coordination and arrangements. Looking forward to contributing more! 😊 #corporatetraining #employeesuccess #corporateworkshop

As I got to work this morning, I realised just how fortunate I am to have a lovely group of ladies in the office, each rushing in to catch a cup of ginger tea together before we started our day at the Inspirational Group. I think - in our ever spinning world, it is so important to build our critical network of allies & partners, who we can reach out to. These are my Vitamin Women! They keep me emotionally intelligent, and together we empower other women - creating a community of mentors & coaches. Grateful for the support I receive from these ladies who I value dearly, I am reminded of the offical song of the 1988 Olympic Games “hand in hand we stand all across the land”. The anthem promotes unity and harmony, encouraging people to come together to make the world a better place. At Inspirational Group, we inspire leadership for a brighter tomorrow. Our programs like IgnITe, Spark, and TenacITy for Women Leaders empower women to craft their leadership narratives and align them with the organization's purpose. Come, join us as we continue to nurture a culture of enterprise and achievement together! #Leadership #Empowerment #WomenLeadership #CommunityBuilding #Inspiration Heather Couchman Johanne Malin Alka Srivastava Nayar Madhura Kirane Aarti Awasthey Dr. Rona Mackenzie Jake Meyer BEM FRGS Iain Robertson Simon Mann Dr. Marcus Gottschalk Inspirational Group Matthew Moore Intifa Baruah Mark Relf Seema Lakhmani Sharmila Kulkarni Laurent Corneille
