Evaluating social change

About us

Bean Research helps organisations create and measure social value. We passionately believe more evidence of what works and how social value is created is needed.  That’s what drives us and why we enjoy what we do. Bean’s work is underpinned by rigorous research techniques – in frameworks or Theories of Change, evaluation, analysis and social impact assessment metrics. With extensive practitioner experience, we specialise in delivering clear, concise findings for clients to both report the difference made and understand how social value can be enhanced – to improve, as well as prove. Its founder, Charlotte Turner, has conducted research and evaluation in responsible business and impact assessment and social value for 30 years, is a regular speaker and adviser on social value, guest teaches Social Value at Cranfield School of Management, is a Life Fellow of the RSA, an Anthropist and a mother of two teenage children. Recent clients include St. James’s Place, City & Guilds, TPICAP, LSEG Foundation, CareTech Foundation, The Felix Project, Panathlon, Nando’s, Offploy and the Mayor’s Fund for London.
