About us
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust serves a population of around 700,000, from a wide range of social and ethnic groups. We have two main hospitals. Queen’s Hospital in Romford opened in 2006 and brought together the services previously run at Oldchurch and Harold Wood hospitals and complements King George Hospital which was built from new in 1993. We also serve clinics across outer north east London and have some services from Barking Hospital.

✂ Professor Sir Mike Richards and one of our reception team Lisa cutting the ribbon to our new Community Diagnostic Centre, alongside colleagues, local councillors and new MP for Barking Nesil Caliskan. 🚀 Boosting scans and tests by an extra 50,000 a year, it will increase early diagnosis, help treat residents faster and reduce health inequalities for residents across north east London.

⚠️ The multi-storey car park at Queen's Hospital is closed from Saturday 20 July for essential improvement works ⚠️ During the first three weeks, the car park will be fully closed to patients and we will only have parking available for: blue badge holders; concessions; cancer, haematology and dialysis patients; women in labour; and emergencies. Staff will be on hand to help in emergency situations. All other patients and visitors are advised to use public transport to get to Queen's. Please plan ahead!
