The Bremmers were last seen in the Christmas special Blood Actually, which launched to 863K* viewers in December and starred Jane Horrocks, Martin Kemp, Robert Webb, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Sherrie Hewson. The nation’s much-loved cook, Dame Mary Berry, is taking the stress out of dinner by making every meal effortless in this delightful new series, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲’𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬, on BBC Two and iPlayer. Across six sumptuous episodes, produced by Sidney Street (part of Banijay UK), Mary brings a lifetime of culinary knowledge to the table, making dinner a pleasure as she joins a host of famous friends – both old and new – who each face their own challenges with making the main meal of the day. In each of the half hour episodes she shows them how creating dinners can be completely foolproof. Casting is now confirmed for the re-imagined series of 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜 (6×60’) with 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲 (The Split, Brassic, Crashing) set to step into the leading role of Jim Bergerac. The six-part UKTV Original series is produced by 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐓𝐕, part of Banijay UK, Jersey based Westward Studios and supported by Visit Jersey. Banijay Rights will handle international distribution for the series. Bergerac is based on the original series created by Robert Banks Stewart, which starred John Nettles and ran for nine series on the BBC between 1981 and 1991. The modern re-imagining will honour the iconic detective drama, but with a contemporary twist. Unlike the original hit from the 80s, the new series will see one character-led murder mystery run across all six episodes, in place of a new storyline each episode. The BBC has announced that newcomers 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐧é𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫, 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫-𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐞 and 𝐀𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐫 will lead the cast of 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐤𝐨𝐡’𝐬 new drama 𝐖𝐞 𝐆𝐨 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 (working title), based on Janice’s 2011 play Three Birds, which starred Michaela Coel and won the prestigious Bruntwood Playwriting Prize. The Midlands-set series is produced by The Forge Entertainment (The Buccaneers, Help and Ackley Bridge), a Banijay UK Company, and is currently filming in and around Birmingham and Coventry for transmission on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three.
