📢 New Blog Post 📢 Continuing on with Vision 2030, we have released a blog highlighting how to join our AXIS pledge. With access to AXIS pledge events and support, companies signed up to the AXIS pledge show a better gender pay gap on average compared to their counterparts across the industry. Pledge Signatories commit to attracting, retaining and developing a diverse workforce with the four steps of analyse, plan, be transparent and be vocal.

📢 Vision 2030 Panel Announcement 📢 Our fourth and final panellist is...Myrtle Dawes! Myrtle is Chief Executive Officer of the Net Zero Technology Centre where she leads the development of technology for a net zero energy industry. She is a non-executive board member of FirstGroup plc, a non-executive director on the Aquila European Renewables plc board, an advisory board member for the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) and sits on the Technology Leadership Board. A Chartered Chemical Engineer, Myrtle is an established leader with extensive experience in the energy sector both in the UK and overseas. Respected as a prominent voice on the energy transition, she began her career 30 years ago as an offshore engineer for bp, before delivering on leadership roles in engineering, project management, technology and digital transformation. Myrtle’s passion for innovation and technology galvanises her colleagues, government and industry to take action and push boundaries. Myrtle holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology from Imperial College London. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Fellow of the Energy Institute, Fellow of the Forward Institute and Honorary Fellow of the Association for Project Management. In 2017, Myrtle received recognition for her contribution to business, having featured in Breaking the Glass Ceiling and being selected as one of 100 Women to Watch in the Cranfield FTSE Board Report 2017. In 2021 she was recognised by TE:100 as one of the Women of the Energy Transition. Myrtle has two children and in her spare time studies mathematics, is a keen cat lover, and gamer Spaces are now limited for our Vision 2030 event sponsored by North Sea Transition Authority. 📢 Vision 2030 Panel Announcement 📢 Our third of four panellists is....Stuart Payne CBE! Stuart was appointed as Chief Executive of the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) in January 2023, and has been part of the organisation since its creation in 2015 most recently as Director for Supply Chain, Decommissioning & HR. Prior to joining the NSTA, Stuart held senior positions in industry including as Group HR Director for Dana Petroleum Limited based in Aberdeen and Vice President of HR for Shell based in Houston, Texas. Stuart is the Chair of the Brightside Trust, a national youth mentoring charity and also chairs the National Advisory Board of Barnardo's Scotland. In February 2023, Stuart was appointed as a non-executive director of Energy Transition Zone Ltd, a not-for-profit company created to establish the north east of Scotland as a global leader in energy transition activities. Stuart holds a degree in psychology, is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and of the CIPD, an Associate Fellow of the The British Psychological Society and was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2020.
