Please join in congratulating Chris Moon MBE who completed his 800km, self supported challenge for Help for Heroes last night.   Carrying an 18kg pack, in just 15 days and moving non-stop for the last 26 hours Chris, soldiered on right to the finish line and completed his challenge for a fantastic cause.   Chris explained that:    “𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦. Now walking along the Camino towards Sahagun, Chris Moon MBE is keeping pace on his fundraising trek for Help for Heroes. Averaging an impressive 35 miles per day under intense heat, Chris is tackling this challenge head-on while being self-supported.    Chris doing an outstanding job in tackling unique challenges, including managing his kit with one hand and closely monitoring his right leg, as the stump can expand and contract throughout the day. Sweat can cause his prosthetic to shift, leading to chafing, so he’s meticulous in his planning.   Having completed ultra-distance events for over 25 years, Chris is no stranger to overcoming obstacles. We’re proud to support Chris Moon MBE, patron for Help for Heroes and close friend of Ark as he begins a gruelling 500-mile trek to raise a target of £5,000 to support the work of Help for Heroes.   Chris has worked with Ark for over five years, first as a motivational speaker and latterly on programmes to achieve high performance and cultural alignment with our supply chain partners   Chris’ own experience of losing his lower right arm and leg gives him a personal understanding of the challenges many disabled Veterans face.
