A new offering aimed at individual research teams and projects operating in the health data science domain. Aridhia’s primary offering, the Digital Research Environment (DRE) is an already widely adopted, comprehensive, and secure, next-generation digital platform trusted by research hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, and global medical networks. The Aridhia TRE provides the Workspaces component of the Aridhia DRE, packaged as a standalone SaaS offering, for teams operating on project-level budgets and grants. A marvelous example of deep collaboration between Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and Aridhia – Digital Research Environment – DRE to configure (ie not build) the service portfolio to allow a national collaborative research trial to happen safely and securely.

Enabling national collaboration in health research, through secure electronic data handling – The PLUTO study 🪐 🔬      At DRIVE, data scientists support teams to leverage clinical and operational data using our secure, trusted Digital Research Environment (DRE). The world-leading GOSH DRE, supplied by Aridhia – Digital Research Environment – DRE, was launched in 2018 and to date has been involved in supporting over 350 complex data projects at GOSH. 📊      A remarkable example of a national research project that the DRE has supported was the PLUTO study. Funded by NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research), the Plasma-Lyte Usage and assessment of kidney Transplant Outcomes in children (PLUTO) was a large national randomised control trial study across 10 paediatric centres and was led by GOSH Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist, Dr Wesley Hayes. 🪐      The aim of the study was to compare the effects of the standard fluid given to patients after a kidney transplant with an alternative fluid. This involved analysing a huge volume of data from thousands of blood test data points, which without the DRE would have had to be manually collated and transferred. 🌐      The DRE platform made this technically possible and enabled collaboration, by allowing thousands of data points from across the 10 sites to be inputted into the secure platform. This allowed the study to move quickly and reduced the risk of human error in transferring the data. ✅      “The DRE and data team at GOSH DRIVE, were invaluable in the successful delivery of this clinical trial.  They enabled the collation and analysis of hundreds of blood test parameters from 144 children around the UK which helped determine the safest fluid for children receiving kidney transplants.”   - Dr Wesley Hayes, GOSH Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist and Chief Investigator on PLUTO Study

Delighted that Kim Carter has joined the Aridhia team as our Chief Data Officer working out of Perth, Western Australia. We've worked with Kim for many years through Covid-19 and the very successful International COVID-19 Data Alliance (ICODA) alliance and more recently on our collaboration with the Liver Cancer Collaborative (https://lnkd.in/e457dSAQ). Kim brings a huge level of experience within the health and biomedical informatics domain and we're delighted he has joined us on our journey to make clinical and scientific collaboration as effective and trustworthy as possible.
