How is the Aridhia DRE enabling multi-site clinical trials? Read on to see a recent real-world example of this in the PLUTO study out of GOSH DRIVE, funded by NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research), with the aim of improving outcomes for paediatric kidney transplant patients. https://lnkd.in/d8cAv7yD Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust Alicia Gibson #DREnotDIY #tre #trustedresearchenvironment #digitalresearchenvironment #datasharing #dataanalytics

A marvelous example of deep collaboration between Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and Aridhia – Digital Research Environment – DRE to configure (ie not build) the service portfolio to allow a national collaborative research trial to happen safely and securely.
Enabling national collaboration in health research, through secure electronic data handling – The PLUTO study 🪐 🔬 At DRIVE, data scientists support teams to leverage clinical and operational data using our secure, trusted Digital Research Environment (DRE). The world-leading GOSH DRE, supplied by Aridhia – Digital Research Environment – DRE, was launched in 2018 and to date has been involved in supporting over 350 complex data projects at GOSH. 📊 A remarkable example of a national research project that the DRE has supported was the PLUTO study. Funded by NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research), the Plasma-Lyte Usage and assessment of kidney Transplant Outcomes in children (PLUTO) was a large national randomised control trial study across 10 paediatric centres and was led by GOSH Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist, Dr Wesley Hayes. 🪐 The aim of the study was to compare the effects of the standard fluid given to patients after a kidney transplant with an alternative fluid. This involved analysing a huge volume of data from thousands of blood test data points, which without the DRE would have had to be manually collated and transferred. 🌐 The DRE platform made this technically possible and enabled collaboration, by allowing thousands of data points from across the 10 sites to be inputted into the secure platform. This allowed the study to move quickly and reduced the risk of human error in transferring the data. ✅ “The DRE and data team at GOSH DRIVE, were invaluable in the successful delivery of this clinical trial. They enabled the collation and analysis of hundreds of blood test parameters from 144 children around the UK which helped determine the safest fluid for children receiving kidney transplants.” - Dr Wesley Hayes, GOSH Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist and Chief Investigator on PLUTO Study

As a decentralised consortium of paediatric hospitals, how does PHEMS aim to share and analyse data between partners? The answer lies in federated data analysis and sharing. Read Ross Stiven's newest blog to learn how the DRE is taking advantage of the newly developed Federated Node, which we demoed at the recent PHEMS annual conference at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. https://lnkd.in/e6PptWuE GOSH DRIVE HUS Helsingin yliopistollinen sairaala, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Meyer - IRCCS, Barcelona Children's Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Bērnu klīniskā universitātes slimnīca, Tietoevry, VEIL.AI, GENESIS Biomed #DREnotDIY #DRE #TRE #trustedresearchenvironment #digitalresearchenvironment #federatedanalysis #federation #federatedsharing #federatedlearning #datasharing #dataanalytics

As ensuring the safety, efficacy, and reliability of products and research within the life sciences is paramount, how do we go about guaranteeing compliance with quality frameworks like #GMP, #GLP, and #GCP? Is that something that a trusted research environment like the Aridhia DRE can help with? Jeff Barrett takes a look at this important issue affecting everything from pharma products to the maintenance of research facilities. https://lnkd.in/dzzGVwGi #dre #tre #trustedresearchenvironment #goodclinicalpractice #clinicalresearch #datamanagement
