We are extremely proud to share that Ardonagh Advisory’s DisAbility Colleague Community won the Trailblazer Employee Resource Group Award at last night’s 2024 UnderOne Diversity and Inclusion Awards at the University of Northampton. The Trailblazer Employee Resource Group Award acknowledges ‘the Staff Networks behind innovative strategies that highlight the impact of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.’ Our DisAbility Colleague Community leads by example to inspire colleagues and their community to share lived experiences when it comes to disabilities, hidden disabilities, and neurodiversity. They have taken positive steps to influence and drive meaningful change across the business which includes: - Educating hiring managers on equal opportunities and myth-busting when it comes to Neurodivergent applicants. - Developing a bespoke accessibility request form for IT equipment and software to support colleagues with disabilities. - Spearheading the launch of the Hidden Disability Sunflower Lanyard to Ardonagh Advisory colleagues. - Celebrating International Day of Disabilities, Global Accessibility Awareness Day, and Neurodiversity Celebration Week through personal stories, educational webinars, and impactful panel discussions. Congratulations to Tim Morris, Wayne Blackburn and all the members and allies of our DisAbility Colleague Community for this well-deserved recognition for all they do to drive meaningful change in our business and our communities. 

Wow, what a weekend and what a fantastic Leeds #Pride Parade! Yesterday, more than 30 Ardonagh Advisory colleagues assembled in Leeds city centre to celebrate the 2024 Pride Parade. Starting at Millennium Square and ending on Briggate Street, our Ardonagh colleagues donned Ardonagh tees and banners and marched in solidarity with the thousands in attendance.   Andrew Martin, Cert CII, Senior Account Handler and Co-Chair of our Pride Colleague Community, says: “Pride may be once a year, but we will never stop supporting and representing all our colleagues and the communities we serve.   “Our approach to success is simple: We cannot and will not move forward unless we can all move forward. Which is why we will continue to place our clients and our colleagues at the heart of everything we do.   “As fantastic as it was, it felt great to put my feet up at the end of the day!”

Earlier this year, we were asked to share a case study about how we’re collecting and using our colleagues’ diversity data, including socio-economic, to drive meaningful change in our business. We’re delighted to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Tom Clark BA(Hons) MA FBCS CITP was named CTO of the Year at this past week’s 2024 Digital Technology Leaders Awards at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, London.    If that wasn’t enough, Tom has followed up this success by scooping a place in the Global CIO Top 100, which recognises excellence in digital transformation and business innovation.   Tom says: “I am so proud to lead Ardonagh Advisory’s technology strategy, and I have a fantastic team who continue to set the standard and deliver outstanding results.   “As technology changes, we must evolve with it, but one thing that will never change is the service we provide to our clients, who will continue to remain at the heart of everything we do.”   We’re immensely proud of Tom, his team, and everyone involved in these successes. It’s yet another reminder that we have the best people in our business, dedicated to giving excellent service to our clients and colleagues.

Ardonagh Advisory are delighted to announce the acquisition of Rollinson Smith Insurance Brokers (RSIB), a leading community broker servicing the Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and North Wales regions who also enjoy a significant reach in London and other areas of the country. RSIB is led by Chris Hartley and have recently celebrated 50 years of business. They offer commercial and personal lines, with Fleet, Motor Trade and Commercial Combined among its core product offering. Phil Bayles, Ardonagh Advisory Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Rollinson Smith is a fitting example of the kind of high-quality regional broker we seek to bring into Ardonagh Advisory. Ardonagh Advisory are delighted to announce the acquisition of Blackpool-headquartered specialist personal lines broker, BP Insurance Brokers (“BPIB”), further strengthening our presence across the Fylde coast area. BPIB is led by Barry Pimlott and was founded in 1958 by Barry’s father. BPIB provides both personal, taxi and commercial lines specialisms and in addition to Blackpool the broker has branches in Cleveleys, Lancaster, and St Annes. Richard Tuplin, CEO Advisory Insurance Broking Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be acquiring a fantastic business with Barry and his team, expanding our Northern Powerhouse in regional broking as well as driving forward our national proposition through added expertise in the specialist personal lines arena.” Barry Pimlott added: “Joining the scale and collective expertise of Ardonagh Advisory, we unlock further opportunities to help our clients make insurance straightforward and affordable, a purpose this business has been dedicated to in Lancashire and beyond for 66 years.”
