Earlier this year we welcomed the BBC into the Arda lab to film a short documentary about our first innovation, New Grain — a leather alternative made from waste brewery grain protein. 🌾 🍻 🐄 I am happy to share that the clip is now publicly available on YouTube (including hilarious comments about my scarf 🙈) — hope you enjoy! Arda Biomaterials has won Cleantech Startup of the Year for London in the UK StartUp Awards! Now we compete against the other regional winners for the UK-wide title, which will surely be fierce competition. Looking forward! A big thank you to those who have supported us and followed our journey the past couple of years, with a particular thank you to our stellar investors and the Arda team who I'm really proud to work alongside. Yesterday, Brett Cotten, the Arda Biomaterials team, and I had the amazing privilege of hosting Lara Lewington & Yasmin Morgan-Griffiths from the BBC for the filming of Click — a programme that explores up-and-coming technologies. For the camera we show some brewery action, science at work, and the end result, our animal & plastic-free leather-like material, New Grain.
