    Deloitte has just made a BIG change for their employees...👀 They're equalising paid parental leave for their employees, offering fathers the same paternity pay as maternity pay for mothers. 👏 The new policy of 26 weeks fully-paid family leave for all new parents will come into effect on 1st January 2025. At our recent 'Driving Productivity with Leaner Teams' discussions across three major European cities, where we hosted over 100 senior executives, a recurring theme from our expert panels was the need to truly listen to employees and act on their feedback to boost motivation and productivity. 💡 Deloitte is a perfect example of a company doing just that. Their research with YouGov revealed: 🚼 87% of working parents say family is a key factor when choosing an employer 🚼 57% of working mothers had to reduce hours due to a lack of flexibility from their partner’s employer 🚼 61% of working mothers believe more parental leave for their partner would boost their career progression With this data in hand, Deloitte has proactively updated their policies to align with what employees value most - an inclusive and supportive workplace. 🏆 This decision doesn’t just benefit their employees though. It also positions them as an employer of choice for top talent seeking balance and flexibility.     At our recent Annapurna Dusseldorf event, we uncovered a fascinating insight into the challenges faced by organisations of all sizes—start-ups, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises. While everyone is still navigating the post-pandemic landscape, the hurdles they face are surprisingly different. Start-ups are laser-focused on agility and rapid innovation, but limited resources mean they’re often operating with lean teams anyway. Mid-sized companies face the tricky task of balancing growth with solidifying their processes, all while scaling without losing the culture that made them successful in the first place. For large enterprises, it’s all about efficiency—especially in heavily regulated environments where compliance, risk management, and slower decision-making processes can become frustrating obstacles to innovation. This diversity of challenges highlights one key takeaway: a one-size-fits-all approach to productivity and recruitment simply won’t work. Start-ups need adaptable individuals who thrive in uncertainty and wear multiple hats, while large enterprises - particularly in regulated sectors - need specialists who understand compliance hurdles and can optimise complex environments.
