About us
Age UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors is a local independent charity, serving the needs of local people aged 50 across the whole of the Borough of Scarborough and the District of Ryedale. Whilst we are part of the larger Age UK family, we are governed by our own Board of Trustees and responsible for creating our own income. All the money raised is spent locally on services for people aged 50 who live in our area. We rely on the generosity of the local community, funders and individuals. This helps us to keep the services going that are so vital to the people of our community.

This group is a great example of how I like AGE UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors to be. We want to represent all of our diverse demographic in the area and especially help groups that don't always get enough support or profile locally. A group of local older LGBTQI people approached us to support them and, at no great cost, set up this group.
