She began her journey in the technical department, gaining invaluable experience in delivering sealing solutions across various industries. Three years later, Dounia advanced to the position of General Manager at AESSEAL Marine plc. Reflecting on an inspiring day at the Global Engineering Challenge ✨ It has been an absolute pleasure to participate in the Global Engineering Challenge at The University of Sheffield last week. I had the privilege of assessing some truly outstanding presentations and providing feedback to incredibly talented first-year students. The brilliance of the presentations, concepts, and solutions proposed by these potential engineers was captivating. This fast-paced learning challenge brought together students from various engineering disciplines, showcasing their strengths, and adopting an environment of teamwork and collaboration. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the commitment to environmentally friendly solutions. Every project incorporated green energy as a foundation stone, aligning perfectly with our values at AESSEAL. As a Net Zero business, we have long campaigned sustainable practices, and initiatives like Betterworld Solutions are evidence to our dedication to creating a greener future and beyond. As a representative of a manufacturing company, I was thrilled to challenge stereotypes about women in engineering. It was rewarding to showcase the invaluable support that businesses like AESSEAL can offer in encouraging diversity and inclusion within the field.
