Job interviews in the medical sales sector are exciting and daunting for many candidates. If you're lucky enough to be invited to an interview, you've likely already impressed your potential employer recruiter with your CV, cover letter, and application. But that doesn't mean you're guaranteed a job offer. To make matters more complex, every company can take a slightly different approach to the interview. Some will have multiple parts to the process, including telephone screening, video interviews, psychometric and skill testing, and first, second, and third-stage interviews depending on the type of medical sales role. Some will ask you to complete tasks as part of an assessment; others will invite you to group or panel interviews where you must convince multiple stakeholders. However, just because interviews can differ doesn't mean you can't prepare effectively for them. With the right strategy, you can ensure you enter every interview with the confidence and insights you need to make a positive, lasting impression on employers. We've created this complete guide to interviewing success based on our experience helping candidates find incredible roles in the medical sales landscape. Helping medtech leaders fill challenging or critical hires, by using a robust and transparent recruitment process, which ensures they appoint the best available candidate in the entire market, in a time efficient manner.

Competency-based interviews are an increasingly common strategy in the medical sales environment. Interviewers use questions in these interviews to assess your abilities, skills, behaviours, and knowledge of the role you’re applying for. Typically, competency-based interviews ask candidates to demonstrate their competencies through storytelling. An interviewer might ask you to describe a time when you faced a challenge or achieved a goal related to the core interests of the business. Wondering how to get better at presenting your skills and ‘why you’ at the interview? Then read our latest post here. -> https://lnkd.in/gss28Zhk

Hard skills, or "technical skills", are the quantifiable abilities most recruiters and employers will consider when reviewing your application for a medical sales role. They're the competencies you need to accomplish the responsibilities and tasks of a specific job. Hard skills result from the knowledge, training, and experience you've gained throughout your career. What else will make you stand out so you are offered the next role you want? You can find out more about it in our latest blog post here. -> https://lnkd.in/eUSCdYnW
