In 2021, we launched the Sky Zero Footprint Fund - an award-winning annual £2 million fund designed to use the power of TV advertising to tackle climate change by promoting more sustainable businesses and initiatives. Since then, we've invested £6 million and showcased 15 incredible brands on the big screen, including Here We Flo, Olio • Share More, Waste Less, OVO, Path Financial, Pura, Ecosia, Homethings, Royal Mail, Serious Tissues, WUKA, Grub Club Pets, Milliways, Ocean Bottle (launching soon), OceanSaver, and UpCircle (launching soon). A marketer’s answer to getting quality leads… And sleeping well at night. . . . . . I've talked about how lead generation does not equate to quality leads. Today I’ll show you how that translates in real terms with TV, with a campaign that we worked on with media agency Pintarget. SodaStream is a long established, iconic brand with technology, which reduces single-use plastic and offers a cheap source of sparkling water. During a pre-Christmas campaign, SodaStream were testing sales in 80 Boots UK stores. Media agency Pintarget assessed data and concluded that potential adopters of SodaStream chose to consume a mix of TV and online. Using Sky AdSmart they created 80 hyper-local TV campaigns to target the ideal customer close to the 80 Boots stores distributing the product. At Studio90 we used our Flexible Creative, which allows us to interchange messages on as many executions as we like fluidly. This is a streamlined process, when it is built into the creative strategy at the start. It is not something you can retro-fit into every campaign creative, which is why collaboration with media and creative in early stages is essential. The TV ad included the Boots branding to enforce the call to action. The campaign targeted 650,000 homes out of a national population of 27 million homes, because it was only aired in areas surrounding the 80 Boot stores. This way the brand communicated only to people who had the opportunity and intent to buy from Boots. The campaign increased spontaneous brand awareness by 49% and spontaneous purchase consideration by 89%. SodaStream over delivered on sales targets.
