A big shoutout to our Business Improvement Manager, Jay Mahadevan, and his dedicated team for their outstanding results in the OdorBac bottle recycling scheme. In May, ABM successfully returned 51% of the bottles we purchased nationally. This is a significant improvement from our previous return rate of around 20%. Last week our PRM and cabin team members at Manchester Airport took part in a 'Foreign Object Debris Walk' - a walk around the airport grounds to remove any potential hazards that could endanger the aircraft and the airfield. This is just one of the ways we ensure the airports we operate in are safe and clean. Well done team. A great example of how to make a difference. #Aviation #AirportSafety

A very well-deserved kudos this week goes to the ABM team at Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure Centre. One of our very quick thinking Security Officers, Linda, jumped into action when she found a customer collapsed in the centre's car park. After recognising that the customer was not breathing and had no pulse, Linda performed CPR whilst another employee called emergency services. The customer has made a full recovery following surgery and visited the shopping centre last month to thank the team for saving her life. Peter Coates, Divisional Director at ABM commented: “Our security team members play a vital role in keeping people safe within the environments they serve. They are the eyes and ears of every facility, which is why it is crucial that their industry leading security expertise are supported by CPR and where possible mental health first aid training.” #OneABM #TeamKudos #Security

Last Thursday, as part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, our team attended the Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association for Greater London City Briefing Dinner at the historic Guildhall in the City of London to learn more about the Reserve Forces and the benefits Reservists could bring to organisations. The event brought together employers and Defence representatives to explore the mutual benefits of partnering with Defence. Justine Salmon FInstLM and Chris Townsend FCIPD, MBA enjoyed a fine three-course dinner and valuable networking opportunities. The evening featured speakers from London's Reserve Forces, gold standard Forces Friendly organisations, and military VIPs discussing the Employer and Reserve service partnership. #CityBrief2024

We are delighted to collaborate with the London Transport Museum this summer with an event that showcases how London keeps moving forward! For one weekend this July the museum is opening the doors to its Museum Depot in Acton.
