As the first full week of August comes to a close, here is a quick interlude of some July highlights: 💜Hosted our annual 52NXNW retreat (a play on SXSW) 💜 We got our competitive hats on for a Dragon's Den activity where we pitched our favourite fruit 🍉🍍🍓, threw some axes, ran round a military assault course, and enjoyed a lovely meal with the whole team celebrating the brilliant year we've had ✨ ⚙️Discussing biosensor industrialisation at IEEE Biosensors ⚙️ Our CTO, Nikki Weckman, was on a panel at the IEEE BioSensors 2024 discussing biosensor industrialisation. Covering all things scalability, AI and automation, as well as market dynamics and socioeconomic benefits. 🚀 Showcased our 'breakthrough device' at the IDAP Expo 🚀 Along with the other brilliant technologies, we showcased Neutrocheck at the Innovative Devices Access Pathway Expo. We were delighted to hear Neutrocheck get a special mention by Baroness Gillian Merron during her speech at the event. 🩺 Presented Neutrocheck to the NHS England Medical Advisory Group 🩺 Chaired by Sir Stephen Powis and part of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, our CSMO Dr Saif Ahmad shared the opportunity Neutrocheck has to offer. The presentation led to some additional collaborative discussions around future use-cases 🤫👀. Who's hungry for August? Sure the Olympic Men's 100m Final was gripping... but did you hear about an equally as exciting, intense, and high-performance sport event we hosted over at 52North? 🏅 During our recent company retreat, our team got their sports kit on for a nail-biting tournament which included axe-throwing, rounders, and an assault course 🪓🏏🏃 Aligning with our 'hungry to learn' value, the 52North team got stuck in and made for a pretty competitive set of (not quite Olympic) games! So competitive that our very own Anna broke the assault course record by an impressive seven seconds! Go Anna! 🥇 Any suggestions for our team to take on in next year's retreat? 👀

In June, 52North took centre stage - at conferences, panels, and events 🚀 💚‘The Green Room’ with Macmillan Cancer Support 💚 Showcasing Neutrocheck and sharing our experience of being the first-ever venture investment made by Macmillan Cancer Support. 🌿 Discussing sustainability with Life Science Integrates 🌿 We shared our cutting-edge sustainability modelling on a panel, answering the important question of ‘Is HealthTech Green Tech?’. ⚙️ Connected health at PDA - Parenteral Drug Association ⚙️ At the PDA conference in Brussels, we presented our carbon modelling of the neutropenic sepsis pathway with and without Neutrocheck 🦄Being named as ‘game-changing’ at HLTH Europe 🦄 With our friends at The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, we showcased our work at the #HLTH2024 Europe conference in Amsterdam. In a room of outstanding technology, we had a number of clinicians emphasise how ‘game-changing’ Neutrocheck is. Certainly one to remember!
