“We’ve been working really hard to offer our customers the best possible value, quality, and service and they are shopping more at Tesco as a result. We have lowered prices on thousands of lines, launched or improved over 860 products in partnership with our suppliers and growers, and our customer satisfaction scores continue to improve across a broad range of measures. I want to say a big thank you to all my Tesco colleagues for their hard work serving customers so well.” – Ken Murphy, Tesco Group Chief Executive. Last week, we brought together more than 50 of our UK-based farmers, suppliers, producers and Future Farmer Programme alumni at Harper Adams University’s School of Sustainable Food and Farming to discuss the challenges and opportunities in transitioning to a sustainable and low carbon agriculture sector in the UK. The sessions, which were attended by some of our beef, dairy, lamb, pig, poultry, arable and fresh produce farmers provided valuable insight into how they’re working to mitigate impacts from climate change, encouraging supply chain resilience, and protecting and restoring nature on their farms. One of the benefits of bringing together different farming sectors that don’t often have a chance to come together, was to better understand the challenges our farmers are facing to reduce the carbon impact of their businesses, and what more we can do to support this transition. We’re looking forward to sharing more details of our work with our farmers and suppliers over the coming weeks. School of Sustainable Food and Farming @ Harper Adams University

We’re launching our tenth train service, a key step in our efforts to be carbon neutral in our own operations by 2035. The new service will save more than 6,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually – and push the number of cases transported by our rail network to over six million per week! #Tesco Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3TOd25i
