By organizing dialogues and civic education meetings, we have encouraged community members to take collective action, engage in local governance, and demand improved services from their leaders.
We have created platforms for open dialogue between citizens, duty-bearers, and governance institutions, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. These spaces have enabled citizens to raise concerns, engage directly with policymakers, and hold their leaders accountable.
-
Today, we joined our #SCENE implementing partners to reflect, strategize, and build momentum for the upcoming electoral process. Together, we are committed to raising awareness and promoting meaningful and active citizen participation in governance.
-
Through policy development and influence, we have actively engaged with policymakers to contribute to the creation and implementation of laws that promote women's rights and gender equality. This has helped shape national discourse on gender issues and influenced public opinion and decision-making at various levels.
-
We have consistently provided resources and training to enhance their monitoring and advocacy skills, enabling them to effectively represent their communities and raise gender-specific issues in policy discussions
We have trained and supported women councillors in conducting monitoring exercises, enabling them to effectively highlight key gender-related issues in service delivery. These issues are then presented to council committees for discussion, leading to improved and more efficient services.
