A strong admin team is essential for any business, and we're fortunate to have some brilliant minds working behind the scenes. One standout star is Nakimuli Eve our dedicated Team Administrator. Despite the demanding nature of her role, Eve always makes time to support the team. Whether it's sharing laughs over lunch or diving into company activities, she truly helps make Bringo Fresh a fun place to work. Curious about what an administrative role involves? Spend a day with Eve: "My typical morning starts with a cup of coffee and a glass of juice to wake me up before my almost-daily walk to the office. Once I arrive, I like to catch up with the team before diving into my inbox and checking the week’s scheduled meetings. I always aim to tackle the most time-consuming tasks first. Currently, my primary focus is providing administrative support to the team. This work feeds into the weekly reports I produce on our admin KPIs, which are then circulated to the rest of the business. One of the best things about being part of a dynamic company like Bringo Fresh is the research I get to do to support the team's projects. I typically handle this in the afternoon, which helps me stay focused. Outside of work, my friends and family are a big part of my life, so I always set aside some time in the evening to catch up with them and make weekend plans." I'm Cathie Aluka, the Human Resource Manager at Bringo Fresh, an innovative company pushing boundaries in the food industry. I hold a BA in Economics and currently pursuing EMBA (HR Management & development). ⚒ Building a great team Over years, I've gained expertise across various subjects - from administrative responsibilities to culinary arts and even the intriguing backstory of potatoes. One of my significant accomplishments includes building a sound HR structure from scratch, promoting growth and unity within the team. ⏰ Work-life balance During my two-year stint at Bringo Fresh, I've given importance to striking a fulfilling work-life balance and encouraged my team to follow suit. A quote I refer to often for inspiration is: “20 years from now, the only people who will remember that you worked late are your kids.” I advise my team to prioritize core principles over everyday issues, manage their work within office hours, and never miss out on enjoyment. Wellness, in my opinion, is crucial for personal and professional excellence. Today is Earth Day! It's a special day that reminds us of the importance of conserving our environment and sustaining its resources. It's a day that encourages us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and a brighter future. At Bringo Fresh, we've been committed to environmental conservation since 2017. We're proud to say that we have already delivered more than 10,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables in boxes and recyclable plastic bags where possible. We believe in taking responsibility for creating an environment that tackles some of the world's biggest environmental and societal challenges. We set big goals for ourselves and work backward to achieve them. But we also know that there is still much more to do. So, we're rolling up our sleeves and getting to work.
