🔴 This week we had the opportunity to explore the joint FMC and "AgroRos" demo field 🌾🌽🌻 in the Korsun-Shevchenkiv district of Cherkasy region! Excited to showcase the latest products and innovative technologies from FMC Corporation to our clients and partners. We're continuing to highlight key insights from our series on #greenhouses and the challenges they've faced during the conflict. Today, we would like to share a story from Serhiy, director of Kremenchuk Vegetable Factory, located just 230km from the current front line. As 🇺🇦 Ukraine marks the third year of war, it has surpassed Afghanistan and Syria to rank as the most heavily mined country globally. 144,000 sq km of land in Ukraine are at risk (according to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, July 1st 2024) and littered with mines and 🚫 hazardous remnants, leading to tragic casualties. Today we want to share the safety leaflet that we created together with The HALO Trust to distribute among the Ukrainian farmers in impacted and deoccupied territories. What to do if you find an explosive objects or parts of it on your field? Here are the main steps: Step 1 - Immediately stop jobs nearby! Сьогодні хочемо вам розповісти, як відбувається процес розмінування українських земель. ·        Перший етап – нетехнічна оцінка. Спочатку команди нетехнічного обстеження вирушають до населених пунктів громад, які повідомили про можливу загрозу вибухонебезпечними предметами.  ·        Далі ці ж спеціалісти визначають території, які можуть бути потенційно небезпечними. Для цього використовують мапи, на яких позначають кордони мінної загрози, та відповідну техніку.  ·        Наступний крок – підготовка ділянки до розмінування. Тут залучаються групи механічної підтримки, які мають спеціальну техніку, що скошує траву або поросль на ділянці з мінами. ·        Опісля починається робота команди ручного розмінування – вона шукає, ідентифікує і маркує знайдені вибухонебезпечні предмети. ·        Останній етап – отримана інформація передається у компетентні державні служби, які надалі займаються безпосереднім переміщенням, знешкодженням і ліквідацією цих знахідок. Якщо ж ви особисто виявили підозрілий предмет, не підходьте до нього та не торкайтеся, адже його активізація може відбутись від найменшого зовнішнього впливу.
