#ModernExpo_retailnews Carrefour Poland has announced a strategic partnership with Pyszne.pl, the on-demand platform of Eat Takeaway.com in Poland. A pilot program is underway in Warsaw, allowing Pyszne. Pl users can choose from 4,000 grocery products from Carrefour for on-demand delivery. The service is expected to expand to more Polish cities in the future, with deliveries being picked up from the nearest Carrefour stores. Carrefour is the only grocery retailer on the Pyszne.pl platform. This partnership with Pyszne.pl is part of Carrefour’s broader strategy to increase its e-commerce gross merchandise (GMV) to EUR 10 billion by 2026. The company has made significant progress toward this goal, reporting a 20% year-on-year growth in its global e-commerce GMV for Q3 2024. Carrefour has also been forming additional on-demand delivery partnerships, recently expanding its collaboration with Wolt in Poland to include 59 stores, alongside alliances with Glovo and Eat in Italy. As Carrefour continues to invest in its e-commerce initiatives, suppliers must enhance their capabilities in this area. Specifically, Carrefour’s focus on on-demand partnerships in specific markets will require brands to find ways to increase their visibility, leveraging evolving retail media tactics available on these platforms. #ModernExpo #wearemodern #wecreateretailnew #GoModern
