Sterling K. Brown

The origin of Sterling K. Brown's acting career goes back to when he was just 17 years old. Brown kickstarted his acting career with roles in various dramas, such as "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-) and "Criminal Minds" (CBS, 2005-). He also appeared in the TV movie "Smallpox" (Discovery Channel, 2004-05). Brown launched his entertainment career by acting in films like the romantic comedy "Brown Sugar" (2002) with Taye Diggs. In the early 2000s, he acted in "Stay" (2005) with Ewan McGregor, the Julianne Moore romantic comedy "Trust the Man" (2006) and the Jessica Alba comedy "The Ten" (2007). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Supernatural" (2005-). In the 2010s, he then appeared in the Paul Rudd comedy "Our Idiot Brother" (2011) and the drama "The Suspect" (2014) with Mekhi Phifer. Most recently, Brown acted in "Marshall" (2017) with Chadwick A. Boseman. Brown won an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Primetime Emmy Award for "American Crime Story" in 2016 as well as a Best Supporting Actor in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series Critics' Choice Award for "American Crime Story" in 2017. Brown was nominated for an Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series Screen Actors Guild Award for "This Is Us" in 2017 as well as for an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Primetime Emmy Award for "This Is Us" in 2017.
